Where the Cronus Zen gets you banned

Short answer: the big shooters have moved against the device. Fortnite restricts it by name, Call of Duty, Apex Legends and Battlefield 6 ban for it, and Rainbow Six Siege will sit you out for a year. NBA 2K, Rocket League and GTA Online have no official position — and we say so rather than guess. Every entry below links the official policy and the date we last checked it.

Last checked: October 8, 2026. Policies change without notice; we re-check on a schedule and update this page the day something moves.

Fortnite

Restricted

Epic names the Cronus Zen and Cronus Max as restricted hardware. You get an in-game warning and must remove the device to keep playing; bypassing it can mean a permanent ban.

Epic Games help: restricted hardware warning In force since February 2025.

Call of Duty (Warzone, Black Ops 7)

Banned

Activision states these devices "are not permitted in Call of Duty". Its Season 02 anti-cheat update targets input-modifying hardware, and penalties can extend to hardware bans across Call of Duty titles.

Call of Duty blog: RICOCHET Season 02 In force since February 2026.

Battlefield 6

Banned

EA says its Javelin anti-cheat blocks input-manipulation devices, and it pressured Cronus to remove EA-related scripts. Permanent bans for Zen users in Battlefield 6 are widely reported on PS5 and PC.

EA: Javelin anti-cheat 2026 update In force since Late 2025–2026.

Apex Legends

Banned

Respawn says devices "such as Strikepacks, Cronus, XIM" that manipulate input are cheating, "full stop" — confirmed accounts get permanent bans with no appeals.

EA: Apex Legends anti-cheat update In force since March 2026.

Rainbow Six Siege

Banned

Ubisoft's MouseTrap system detects input-spoofing devices on console: warnings first, then a one-year ban Ubisoft will not lift. The official article describes the device class rather than naming Cronus.

Ubisoft help: MouseTrap In force since Live through 2026.

NBA 2K27

Unclear

No official statement names the Cronus Zen. 2K's code of conduct bans misusing third-party hardware for an unfair advantage, and community reports describe permanent bans — but there is no published device policy.

NBA 2K player code of conduct In force since Current code of conduct.

Rocket League

Unclear

No policy names the Zen or announces device detection. Input modification falls under the general code of conduct, up to a permanent ban, and Cronus removed its Rocket League scripts after Epic legal action in 2025.

Rocket League code of conduct In force since Current code of conduct.

GTA Online

Unclear

Rockstar's suspension and ban policy covers cheating generally but never names input converters. No confirmed official statement on the Cronus Zen exists — treat online use as unquantified risk.

Rockstar online suspension and ban policy In force since Updated February 2026.

What the Zen is still good for

A ban list is only half the answer. Where a game permits the device, it still does honest work: playing with the controller you prefer on the other console, button remaps and one-handed or limited-mobility layouts, and single-player quality-of-life tweaks. That is the part ZenForge sells — tested setup packs for the uses that will not cost you your account, with firmware steps, sensible defaults and troubleshooting. The free checker on our front page walks you through game by game.

One honesty note: we will never sell a pack for a game listed as banned or restricted above, even though that is where most script sellers make their money.
